Job Details
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Full litigation responsibilities including review of correspondence, review of files to determine whether they are suit appropriate, review of answers, preparation of discovery, and preparation of dispositive motions and all aspects of conducting trial and appearing for hearings. In addition, attorney is to be knowledgeable in post judgment remedies including attachment and garnishment. Attorney should be familiar with state and federal consumer laws and keep abreast of any changes in state or local rules. Attorney will be responsible for managing high-volume docket of civil litigation cases in the area of debt-collection through all phases of litigation from commencement through post-judgment actions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
• A law degree
• Bar admission in Oklahoma
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a general litigation attorney
• Experience in creditor’s rights litigation
Preferred:
• Experience in appellate court and/or Federal Court
